EXPERIENCE
With over two decades of hands-on experience in tree felling services, climbing, and hazardous tree work, Steve worked for the United States Forest Service from 2007 to 2017, where he served as a nationally certified climber and advanced sawyer. During that time, he was qualified to handle complex and hazardous tree work, including large-diameter and technically difficult trees, as well as bucking, limbing, and emergency response tasks. His experience included mentoring lower-level fallers, managing high-risk situations, and performing precision work in challenging terrain and fire-related environments. Since 2016, he has owned and operated his own tree service, demonstrating remarkable tree removal expertise by completing a wide range of projects from hazard tree removals and defensible space work to large-scale wildfire recovery operations, including the removal of 1,400 trees in 17 days following the Caldor Fire.
